Meyers

Sons and daughters of William and Mary Ann (Dripps) Meyers
All were born and raised in Jefferson City, Mo.  Standing, left to right - Floria (Meyers) Coyner, Edison Meyers, Alex Meyers, Artie Meyers.  Seated, left to right - Albert Meyers, George Meyers, William Meyers, Sally (Meyers) Baldwin. They all remained in the Jefferson City area, except Edison, George and Floria who moved to California in 1918 and 1919, and Albert who moved to Hermann, Mo. some time before 1910.  Birthdates of all the children are as follows: William E. Meyers, Jan. 25, 1864; Alexander Meyers, Feb. 9, 1866; Sallie Meyers, June 8, 1868; George Meyers, September 12, 1870; Floria Meyers, July 28, 1873; Albert Meyers, August 28, 1875; Edison Meyers, Oct. 10th, 1877; Arthur Meyers, Aug. 12th, 1881.  Albert Meyers, my father, died on 1/6/1962 and is buried in Garden of Memories, Tampa, Florida.  Alex and Kate Meyers, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 14, 1941, at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Clarence K. Jones of 908 Broadway.  Their other children were Edson Meyers and Catherine (Meyers) Krueger. Albert and Hallie Meyers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on 11/29/1948 at the Presbyterian Church in Washington, Mo.  Their children were, Anna Maude (Meyers) Daugherty, Elmer Boswell Meyers, Mary Frances (Meyers) Neely, and Marjorie (Meyers) Wagner.

Myers

Sarah Ann (Jobe) Copple Myers and two of her daughters. Sarah Ann Jobe born 12 November 1844, Cole Co., Missouri the daughter of Edward Jobe and Isabel Fincher.  She grew up in Cole Co. where her family has been for many many years. She married (1) John Alexander Copple 5 March 1862, Linn County, Ks.  After the death of John on 22 Dec 1881 in Sedan, Chautauqua County, Ks., she then married Simpson Myers 10 Dec 1882 in Sedan, Chautauqua County, Ks.  The daughter on the left is Rose Copple from her first marriage, and the girl in the middle is her daughter Mary Augusta Myers born 26 August 1884, Sedan, Chautauqua County, Ks. from her second marriage, my   grandmother.  This picture was taken ca 1892.

Messersmith

Hiram Messersmith (1842-1926) was the son of Rufus & Sina (nee Edgmond) Messersmith.  He was born near Hickory Hill in Cole County.   He was married to Harriette Francis Rowden (1847-1918).
